Job Title: Academy Coach

Organization: FIERCE United Soccer Club

Position Type: Part-Time

FIERCE United is a competitive, non-profit girls soccer club located in the North Austin area. Founded in 2019, our membership includes over 200 girls ages 6-18, with a women-led coaching staff. Candidates should be aligned with our mission:

“FIERCE aims to provide our members with year-round soccer and futsal opportunities in a community that fosters total player development, inspires a lifelong passion for the game, and focuses on empowering girls on and off the field.”

We are seeking an Academy Coach with a passion for developing young athletes. The coach will work with the Academy Director to lead age-appropriate training sessions and matches for soccer players ages 6–10.

What you will be doing:

Serving as the lead coach for 1-2 Academy teams.
Lead 2 evening sessions per week, local matches on Saturdays, and - when needed - tournaments.
Implementing safe, effective, and progressive training sessions for players of varying ages and ability levels using the FIERCE Academy curriculum.
Creating a positive and motivating training environment aligned with FIERCE United’s mission.
Collaborating with FIERCE coaches to develop players according to FIERCE’s development pathway.
Communicating updates, team needs, or promoting club messages to families on the team.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Duties will require approximately 10 hours per week, on evenings and weekends.

What we need to see:

Passion for youth development and the ability to inspire and engage young athletes.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
USSF Grassroots License or a desire to pursue USSF Coaching Licensing.
HS Diploma.
Previous soccer playing experience.
A professional, reliable, and team-oriented individual.
