Osborn & Walker Featured in Taka Top 100

On October 22, the USYS National League (NL) and Taka released the Taka Top 100 for the 2024-25 season. The list is comprised of "the 100 best overall player scores among the 2026, 2027 and 2028 graduation classes" (USYS) based on Taka's performance analysis during NL events last season. In the pool of all U16+ players that competed in NL, G08's Osborn and Walker were selected as Top 100 standouts at 2024-25 events.
Osborn served in goal for 09G NL during the 2024-25 campaign. She was a key component during the team's perfect run to clinch their second straight NL Frontier Conference title, maintaining shutouts in every conference match.
During the Quarterfinals and Semis, Osborn picked up another 4 shutouts and helped secure the team's spot at the USYS National Championships. On the biggest stage at Nationals, Osborn helped FIERCE limit all opponents to only 1 goal. In a clinical goalkeeping performance across the 2024-25 campaign, Osborn made her mark with 14 clean sheets.
Walker helped control the middle of the park and put 08G NL on the scoreboard throughout the 2024-25 campaign. During 08G NL's undefeated run to win the NL Frontier Conference, Walker scored 8 goals and posted two assists.
At the NL Quarterfinals, Walker scored 50% of the teams goals, with a trademark long-range goal in the team's second match of the event. Overall, Walker's attacking prowess shone brightly with her scoring a third of all 08G NL's goals at 2024-25 NL events.
Inclusion in Taka's Top 100 is a well-deserved recognition for both players! This honor actually makes Walker's second award from Taka (formerly ProScore) - her first was when she was selected for the Best XI at the 2023-2024 Conference Playoffs. FIERCE United is inspired by Osborn and Walker's strong performances throughout the 2024-25 season, and looks forward to the way they continue to strengthen the G08 roster as the team prepares for their run at the US Club National Cup Finals!
