For the second consecutive year, FIERCE United earned their place at the USYS National Championships in Orlando, FL. With the stage set, FIERCE trained the group over the summer in preparation for its second consecutive return to the biggest stage.

After winning their respective NL events, the top 16 teams in the nation traveled to Orlando to battle for the title of National Champion. The format broke the teams into 4 brackets with only the top team in each moving on to the Semifinals.

Match play began July 22nd, with FIERCE's opener against Madison 56ers Elite 64 06/07G. After a solid match of back-and-forth, FIERCE conceded its only goal of the event in the dying minutes of the second half. This match was FIERCE's only loss at the event, and it was against the eventual 3rd place team at Nationals.

FIERCE fought tooth and nail the next two matches, concluding both with 0-0 stalemates. Even with the team putting on a defensive masterclass throughout the event, it was not enough to advance them to the playoff stage.

Although the team played beautiful football and deserved to make it to the finals, FIERCE's philosophy has never been to focus on the accolades. The club could not be prouder of the group's journey and their character on the biggest stage! These player's ability to come together and perform against top talent in the nation is a testament to their dedication, and a source of inspiration for all other FIERCE players.
