Coach Chase Gentles head shot

FIERCE United is delighted to announce the addition of Coach Chase Gentles to the club's staff! Coach Chase will lead FIERCE's new Jr. Academy Program and serve as the Lead Coach for G15 Grey.

Coach Chase played across every youth level at schools in Jamaica, all the way up to the DaCosta Cup - the premier High School/College Competition there. He also played professionally for Club Stars Football Club, helping the team earn promotions from Division 3 all the way up to Division 1. During his transition out of professional football, Coach Chase took it as a blessing because he realized how much he loved coaching and seeing players grow. Coach Chase began his coaching career in Jamaica under mentors Claude Grant & Hector Wright. After moving to the US 10 years ago, Coach Chase continued his coaching career at schools and Sting Soccer Club. His playing and coaching experience makes him a multifaceted leader for Jr. Academy and G15 Grey!

Interim Executive Director and Academy Director Rachelle D'Amico shared FIERCE's excitement for Chase's addition to the staff:

We’re thrilled to announce Chase Gentles to FIERCE United as our lead coach for the new Jr Academy Program, as well as our G15 Grey select team. Chase comes to FIERCE with an impressive soccer background, including a professional career with Club Stars Football Club, and coaching experience with Sting Soccer. Chase has a passion for developing players both on and off the field, and also works as a physical educator with a NASM Youth Exercise Specialist certification. We’re excited for the energy and leadership he will bring to our teams!

Coach Chase had the following to share on his hiring:

I am really excited to get started here at FIERCE! I am an avid believer in the philosophy and I would be honored to have even just a small effect in rectifying the issues in the women’s game so the beautiful sport can continue to grow. I am a big fan of Arsenal and watch the Women’s team, with Alessia Russo and Stina Blackstenius being my favorite players. I can’t wait to see the growth of the players here at FIERCE!

Coach Chase's addition to the staff allows FIERCE to expand its offerings to girls soccer players in the area. The club is delighted to have a coach with an incredible wealth of knowledge join the staff and uphold the mission to prioritize player development and create life-ready leaders!
