D'Amico a Finalist for Women of Wilco Recognition

In late January, FIERCE's own Interim Executive Director Rachelle D'Amico was selected as a Finalist for the 2026 Women Of Wilco Recognition! The award honors, celebrates, and elevates the female professionals of Williamson County who are making an impact in their industries, communities, and organizations. The Williamson County Chambers of Commerce draws nominees from business, education, healthcare, government, and nonprofit organizations like FIERCE United.

When selecting finalists, judges considered career advancement, present company success, business leadership and mentorship, and community involvement - all boxes that Coach Rachelle ticks. Since joining the FIERCE Staff in the summer of 2023, Coach Rachelle has grown the Academy program tenfold and advanced from Academy Director to Interim Executive Director. FIERCE United continues to grow under her leadership, and players are empowered by her mentorship on and off the field. Outside of FIERCE, Coach Rachelle supports women's sports as a cofounder of Austin Rise FC, a club dedicated to creating opportunities for women and building community through sport.

Upon learning about her selection as a finalist, Coach Rachelle had the following to say:

"I'm deeply honored to be named a finalist for the Women of Wilco Awards. Serving as Interim Executive Director of FIERCE has allowed me to mentor young athletes, and help empower the next generation of female leaders through the game we love. I'm especially excited to complete our new FIERCE futsal facility in Leander and continue strengthening our roots in the Wilco community for many years to come."

The 2026 Women of Wilco Recognition will be celebrated at an in-person event in March.
