Job Title: Assistant Strength and Conditioning/Physical Literacy Coach
Organization: FIERCE United Soccer Club
Position Type: Part-Time
FIERCE United is a competitive, non-profit girls soccer club located in the Leander/Cedar Park/Northwest Austin corridor. Founded in 2019, our membership includes 250 girls aged 6-18, and our coaching staff that is 70% female. We provide our members with year-round, soccer and futsal opportunities in a community that fosters total player development, inspires a lifelong passion for the game, and focuses on empowering girls on and off the field.
We are seeking an Assistant Strength and Conditioning/Physical Literacy Coach with a passion for developing young athletes. The coach will work with the head Physical Literacy coach to design and implement age-appropriate performance programs for soccer players ages 8–18, focusing on speed, strength, agility, injury prevention, and overall athletic development.
What you will be doing:
Developing and leading strength and conditioning sessions tailored to the demands of soccer.
Implementing safe, effective, and progressive training programs for players of varying ages and ability levels.
Collaborating with club coaches to integrate physical development into the broader soccer curriculum.
Monitoring and assessing athletes’ progress using performance metrics and testing protocols.
Educating players on warm-up routines, recovery strategies, nutrition basics, and injury prevention.
Creating a positive and motivating training environment aligned with FIERCE United’s mission.
What we need to see:
Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or related field.
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA, or equivalent credential (e.g., USAW, NASM PES).
Experience working with youth athletes, preferably in a soccer-specific environment.
Passion for developing athletes ages 8–18.
Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire and engage youth athletes.
Knowledge of long-term athlete development and growth stage considerations.
A professional, reliable, and team-oriented individual.
Preferred skills:
Prior experience with soccer clubs, academies, or youth performance programs.
Familiarity with athlete monitoring tools and testing equipment (timing gates, jump mats, etc.)
CPR/AED certification.
