This spring brought an unforgettable moment for two of our athletes: Morgan and Vanessa from Coach Nicki's FIERCE 08-09G Elite team earned call-ups to the Cedar Park HS Varsity playoff roster, beginning what would become a state championship run.
After consistent seasons as JV leaders, both players were recognized for their growth, effort, and readiness to step into a high-level environment—exactly the kind of opportunity for which FIERCE prepares every athlete.
Their team went on to capture the 2025 Class 5A D2 State Title, capping off an undefeated playoff stretch filled with grit, resilience, and big-game moments.

Soaking in the Moment
What was your reaction when you learned you were called up to the Varsity roster for playoffs?

“I was told during a Varsity game by my friend who also got moved up - she showed me a shirt and I saw my name on it. Being called up to Varsity felt really exciting! Although I had practiced with the team during the season, I knew playoffs was a new challenge. My mind was full of excitement and I knew it would be so fun, but I knew I had to put in a lot of work. We got the job done though and won!”

“I found out through my friend and I was surprised but grateful for the opportunity. I was excited to be on the roster because that meant I could continue practicing with Varsity and come along for the ride.”
Learning from the Best
How did you support the Varsity team during the playoff run?

“Some ways I supported my team was just being present on the bench, cheering as loud as I could, and hyping everyone up! Meredith Kolts, Brooke Pack and I have a very good friendship, so I was so happy to see them both score and be able to support them. I was also the team braider, so doing hair got me close to everyone.”

“I supported the Varsity team by going to all the practices, games, and warming up with the team before games.”
Fuel for the Future
How has this experience motivated you going into next season?

“My goals for next year is to be a JV starter and captain and also be flex. If I were to be on Varsity it would be great, but I want to play JV and know I will! I’m going to practice super hard over the summer and during next season so I can be on Varsity in the future!”

“This has motivated me to work on my craft outside of practice and better myself so that I can continue to grow and hopefully be an actual Varsity player soon. Some goals I have set for myself are to continue growing my 1v1 skills and to be a leader on the field.”
FIERCE-Fueled and Future-Ready
FIERCE believes that readiness is the result of consistent work—and that opportunity comes to those who stay prepared. Morgan and Vanessa didn’t just get a taste of championship soccer—they earned valuable insight, built belief, and brought it all back to their training environment. The experience lit a fire in both players—one that’s already shaping their goals for the seasons ahead.
The club's staff, players, and families are immensely proud of their journey and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!
